This document (privacy statement and cookie policy) relates to (i) the processing of your personal data and (ii) the use of cookies on or through this website by the company Zùsto NV, trading under the name “Zùsto”, entered in the Crossroads Enterprise Database in Belgium under number 0656.824.810, registered office at Blarenberglaan 6, 2800 Mechelen, intracommunity VAT number BE0656.824.810.
1.1 Privacy statement
Zùsto may collect personal data from you through the Website or through e-mail or other direct contact. This personal data may include your name, e-mail address and other contact details, as well as any other information that may be relevant to your query or to your order.
Zùsto is sole controller for this personal data, and it uses it to respond to you regarding the reason for which Zùsto was contacted (based on its legitimate interest in doing so). In addition, if you place an order with Zùsto, Zùsto will process your personal data for the purposes of handling the order and, if accepted, performing its contract with you. Finally, Zùsto may keep such personal data for the purposes of customer relationship management and for the purposes of evidence of the provision of services, based on its legitimate interest in doing so.
Zùsto does not use or share any of this personal data for marketing purposes, and it never rents or sells that personal data to anyone. If Zùsto decides to change this practice, it undertakes not to include you in any relevant distribution list without complying with the applicable information requirements and any other requirements under applicable legislation, including requesting consent where required.
Zùsto takes precautions to protect your information. When you submit any kind of personal data via the Website, your information is protected both online and offline. Only authorised staff and trusted providers are granted access to such personal data.
Zùsto also tries to ensure that any personal data in our possession remains relevant, and that any outdated or irrelevant information is deleted. We therefore delete old data at regular intervals, taking into account legally permitted retention periods. Order-related personal data is for instance kept 10 years after fulfilment of the order.
As a data subject, you have various rights in relation to your personal data:
- The right to access your personal data and even to obtain a copy of it. This is not an absolute right and the rights and interests of other individuals may restrict your right of access.
- The right of rectification, i.e. the right to obtain from us the correction of inaccurate personal data concerning you.
- The right to object to the processing of your personal data in specific cases, where the personal data is processed based on our legitimate interests. This will not prevent us from responding to a query, fulfilling an order, or keeping data regarding an order for evidence purposes.
- The right of erasure, i.e. the right to obtain from us the removal of personal data concerning you, in a range of scenarios. Exceptions may allow us in certain cases to keep the personal data for a certain period.
- The right to request a restriction on the processing of your personal data in specific cases, such that it can only be processed for specific purposes foreseen by law.
- Under certain circumstances, the right to data portability, i.e. the right to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. The scope of this right is more limited than the right of access.
- The right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU Member State of your habitual residence or of an alleged infringement of the GDPR.
